Privacy Policy

TekDek Software, Inc. ("Tekdek," "we," "us") provides software that helps home-improvement contractors build quotes, proposals, and manage production. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Tekdek application (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Account & organization data. When you or your organization sign up, we collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, business address, and role/permission information for each team member.

Customer (homeowner) data you enter. Your organization's use of the Service involves entering information about your own customers — names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, project photos, quote/proposal details, and e-signatures collected when a homeowner signs a proposal. Your organization is the party responsible for collecting this information from homeowners and for having a lawful basis and appropriate consent to do so; Tekdek processes it on your organization's behalf.

Payment & financing information. If your organization enables financing or online payment features, limited payment-related data is processed by our payment/financing partners directly — Tekdek does not store full payment card numbers.

Crew time-tracking data (Tekdek Onsite). If your employer uses Tekdek Onsite, our time-clock app for field crews (on the web at onsite.tekdek.app and in the iOS and Android apps), we collect your name, email address, clock-in and clock-out times, breaks, the jobs you work on, and any notes or photos you add. When you clock in or out, the app records your device's precise location at that moment so your employer can confirm the punch was made at the job site. Location is read only at the moment you punch — never in the background or between punches — and you can deny the location permission and still clock in. If you allow notifications, we store a push-notification token for your device so we can send reminders such as a shift you may have forgotten to end. Your employer controls this data and decides how long it is kept for payroll and labor-law purposes; Tekdek processes it on your employer's behalf.

Usage & device data. We automatically collect log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service (quoting, proposals, production tracking, invoicing, material orders).
• To generate and deliver documents (e.g. proposal PDFs, e-signature records) on your organization's behalf.
• To send transactional emails/SMS (e.g. proposal-ready notifications) that your organization or its customers request.
• To record crew hours and punch locations for your employer's timesheets and payroll, and to send shift reminders by email or push notification.
• To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers ("subprocessors") who help us operate the Service, including hosting/database infrastructure (Supabase), file/document delivery, transactional email delivery, address autocomplete/mapping (Mapbox), PDF generation, and — where your organization enables them — integrations you choose to connect (e.g. financing partners, ABC Supply for material ordering). These providers are contractually restricted to using data only to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We retain account and customer data for as long as your organization's account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or contractual obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Team members may access or update their account information within the Service. A homeowner whose information was entered by one of our organization customers should direct data requests to that organization; organizations may contact us to help fulfill such requests. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) under applicable law — contact us to exercise them.

Crew members using Tekdek Onsite can turn off location and notification permissions at any time in their phone's settings, and can ask their employer — or us, at support@tekdek.app — to delete their login. Time records your employer is legally required to keep for payroll may be retained by your employer after your login is removed.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, encrypted storage for sensitive credentials) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above, and, where appropriate, through additional notice.
